Plowsharing Crafts is a non-profit Fair Trade store dedicated to providing vital, fair income to artisans in over 40 developing countries by selling their handicrafts and sharing their stories. We work with artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed. This income helps pay for food, education, health care, and housing in developing regions around the world.

Stores

Plowsharing Crafts has two locations in the St. Louis area, one in the Delmar Loop and one in Downtown Kirkwood. Both are filled with fairly-traded handicrafts from over 40 different countries, including jewelry, clothing, accessories, gifts, home decor, musical instruments, food items, and toys. We also hold sales at churches, schools, and outdoor festivals. Check our calendar for Fair Trade sales in your area.

Artisans
We work with very skilled and creative artisans from developing countries, who make beautiful, handmade items that we are privileged to sell in our stores. We are committed to practicing Fair Trade, which means that we work to ensure that artisans receive a fair wage for the work that they do.

Volunteers

Our stores are mainly staffed by volunteers, who contribute greatly to the success of Plowsharing Crafts. From unpacking shipments to wrapping your purchases, volunteers are a vital part of what we do. We always welcome new people to consider volunteering with us.
